Visiting us at the Surgery
One of the best parts of our job is meeting and getting to know the animals that come in and see us (as well as their owners!). When you get a new pet, we recommend bringing them in for a 'Meet and Greet' appointment. This is a free consultation with one of our veterinary surgeons who will examine your pet. This allows us to dispense any prescription strength parasite control or medications your pet may require as they have been seen by a vet and are classed as 'under our care'. Please note, the 'Meet and Greet' appointment is for animals in good health, if your pet is unwell and needs to see a vet, the usual consultation fee will apply.
Our weighing scales are located in the waiting room and we welcome your pet any time to see the receptionist and check their weight or simply to pop in and say hello. This can help familiarise your pet with veterinary surroundings and make a visit to the vets at other times less stressful both for them and for you.
For the safety and security of your pet, it is important that all animals are appropriately restrained whilst in and around the surgery.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and smaller animals, such as cats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc must be in an appropriate pet carrier. If you need to borrow a carrier or lead, please ask at reception before bringing your pet into the surgery and we will happily lend you one. We also loan out cat baskets for a fully refundable £20 deposit.
